Déficit Cero and Sodimac renew alliance to address Chile’s housing crisis

Déficit Cero and Sodimac have renewed their joint work agreement and their commitment to collaborate in addressing the housing crisis affecting Chile. This strategic alliance is established as a platform for developing projects aimed at improving access to dignified housing and promoting inclusive housing solutions.
This agreement reflects the continuity of a collaborative relationship between civil society, the public sector, and private enterprise, which has been crucial in advancing studies, proposals, and public policies aimed at addressing the country's housing deficit. In this new phase, Sodimac renews its commitment to the actions aimed at raising awareness, the collaborative approach, and the proposals driven by Déficit Cero, emphasizing that the magnitude of these problems requires a state-level perspective, in addition to the willingness and collaboration of all sectors.
Sebastián Bowen, Executive Director of Déficit Cero, valued the renewal of the agreement, stating that "working with strategic partners like Sodimac allows us to expand the reach of our initiatives. This commitment demonstrates that, by joining efforts, it is possible to move towards a country without a housing deficit."
For their part, Sodimac emphasized the importance of continuing to support projects that generate social impact and strengthen the quality of life of communities. "We have been allies of Déficit Cero since the beginning of this initiative. We are very pleased with the collaborative work we have been building to ensure that all families in Chile have a dignified home," said Juan Carlos Corvalán, Sustainability and Compliance Manager at Sodimac.
Through this agreement, Déficit Cero and Sodimac reaffirm their commitment to building a more equitable future, highlighting the need for strategic alliances to effectively address the housing crisis in Chile.
