With the goal of addressing the housing deficit affecting the commune of La Cisterna, Déficit Cero and the Municipality of La Cisterna have signed a strategic collaboration agreement within the framework of the Housing and City Network of Déficit Cero.

This agreement reflects the joint commitment of both institutions to develop concrete actions that contribute to improving the housing conditions of the residents of La Cisterna. The agreement establishes a cooperative framework between Déficit Cero and the Municipality of La Cisterna, aimed at developing various actions and strategies to address the housing deficit in the commune. The focus is on fostering a collaborative approach in the search for solutions and ensuring the active participation of both parties in the development of policies to tackle this issue.

The actions to be undertaken under this agreement include training municipal staff, coordinating with other national or international public institutions to improve management in housing and urban planning, conducting cooperative activities, providing assistance, exchanges, advisory services, and more, to achieve joint development and meet the needs of the residents of La Cisterna. The agreement also involves organizing seminars, and information exchange sessions, and sharing data, studies, and other relevant materials, all in compliance with current regulations.

Regarding the agreement, María Paz González, Director of External Engagement, stated, "This partnership helps us address housing demand in collaboration with municipalities. They are the ones who know firsthand the housing problems that residents face, and therefore they have the information that allows us to develop relevant plans and strategies to meet the needs of families."

As a result, the Municipality of La Cisterna will formally join the "Network of Municipalities for Access to Housing and the City," with the aim of enhancing local housing initiatives and collaborating with other municipal teams to address the housing crisis from the ground up.
