Home, A Place to Build the Future
On January 7th, at the Chilevisión facilities, we held the 3rd Housing and City Summit, an event where we highlighted initiatives designed to address the housing emergency in a year marked by electoral, legislative, and territorial challenges.
On this occasion, we were accompanied by key actors from the public and private sectors, such as Daniel Más, Director of Déficit Cero, and José Miguel Benavente, Executive Vice President of CORFO, who delivered opening remarks.
We were also joined by Claudio Orrego, Governor of the Metropolitan Region, and Susana Jiménez, President of the Confederation of Production and Commerce (CPC), who participated in the first panel discussion, "Public-Private Collaboration to Solve the Housing Crisis," moderated by Paula Urenda, General Manager of the Chilean Chamber of Construction. Meanwhile, the second panel, titled "Housing: Axis of Economic and Social Development in Chile," featured Pablo López, Housing Coordinator of the Urban Development and Creative Economies Department of the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean - CAF; Sebastián Claro, Economist and Academic, Former Vice President and Councilor of the Central Bank; and Ignacio Briones, Economist and Former Minister of Finance, with moderation by Bárbara Callejas, Social Real Estate Director of TECHO-Chile.
